How to build a website...is it Childs play??

I did, I must admit my first attempts were disasterous, I am always determined, I hate not being able to do something well! Web building, um...I'll conquer that one!

So, here I am 18 months later still trying my luck!! This time though I've had a little help...

My aim is how to build up my disabled-dating site that it is a thriving active community bringing you all the information you need on meeting people and dating.

Two years ago I knew nothing about building websites, search engine optimisation or even databaes, but now I'm a mine of knowledge and eager to share my success with other budding netpreneurs!

About three months ago I was told about two sites on the internet that have actually changed my life already...well my career path anyway!

How to build a website with SiteSell.com

After spending months learning how to do anything constructive on the internet I was introduced to a website by Dr Ken Evoy. The site is Sitesell.com The program he offers is downloadable so you can get started straightaway. I read his site from beginning to end and then bought the course. I read all 600 pages of his guide which was really easy to get through, even for me! Its full of pictures, shortcuts, ideas and the humour is great in it. I then set about and built what you can see here today.

He has this great little program with a thing called 'The Brain'. It does all the research for you in a fraction of the time and at least ten times better. Ken's program does the HTML, the research, filing, tracking - you name it. All I had to do was the copy itself then copy and paste it in the blocks he provides.

I also use an application called Arelis. It searches through all the search engines for you and lets you know if you have fully optimised their potential. Its really straight forward to use and gives you your results in plain English. It has certainly been a help for me as a complete novice...

How to build a website with Dating-Central.com

The other site I found was the biggest help in giving me direction and bringing in the income. This site is called Dating-Central.com Using Dating-Central.com I have been able to give you the dating site you can see today. The program was so easy to join and set up. I didn't even need to know how to build a database! Infact Mike, one of the Directors, had set everything up for me within 48 hours and had even set the colour scheme to fit in with my home page. It is that easy!! Dating-Central basically supplied me with the databse and know how and I then did the rest.

So as you can see within 10 days of hard work I have been able to start a fantastic site that offers you an amazing growing community. I have learned how to build a site that I am so proud of!

So, the point I am making is that if I can do this, so can you! All you need is a computer, a pot of coffee and the courage of your convictions. I've also got my cat Bramble to talk too, she's actually sat on my knee at the moment purring away! What more could you want...
